About Stainless Steel 2 Tap Manual Scrub Station for Hospital & OT
Surgical hand scrubbing is an essential step before entering the operation theatre. A 2 tap manual scrub station gives surgeons, assistants and nursing staff a dedicated, easy-to-clean basin for this purpose, usually placed in the scrub area outside the OT.
The station supports the hospital’s hand-hygiene routine. It does not replace the hospital’s approved scrubbing protocol, antiseptic agents or infection-control policy.
A 2 tap scrub station is a stainless steel sink with two water outlets, allowing two persons to scrub at the same time. “Manual” means the taps are operated by hand, elbow or knee-action levers rather than by infrared sensors or foot pedals. Manual models are simpler to install and maintain and do not rely on sensor electronics.
The design usually includes a deep, wide basin, a splash-guard back panel and a front that is shaped to reduce splashing onto the floor and the user’s clothing.
