How Does an Oxygen Concentrator Work?
An oxygen concentrator works by drawing in room air, filtering dust and impurities, and separating nitrogen from oxygen using Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) technology. The machine then delivers oxygen-enriched air through a nasal cannula or oxygen mask at the prescribed flow rate.
Unlike oxygen cylinders, concentrators continuously produce oxygen as long as electrical power is available, making them suitable for long-term use.
